INVITATION TO BID
LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed bids will be received for Old Louisville Road - Water & Sewer Extensions at the City of Pooler
City Hall - 2nd Floor Training Room, 100 US Highway 80, Pooler, GA, 31322 at 3:00 PM on Wednesday,
June 3, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. A mandatory pre-bid conference
will be held at City of Pooler City Hall - 2ndFloor Training Room, 100 US Highway 80, Pooler, GA 31322
at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Only official plan holders will be allowed to attend the pre-
bid conference.
The work shall consist of the clearing and haul off site from approximately 3.2 AC of utility easement
and ROW, removal and replacement of approximately 14 SY of concrete driveway, removal and
replacement of approximately 21 SY of asphalt driveway, removal and replacement of approximately
62 SY of gravel driveway. The contractor shall also connect 10 LF of 2" SDR sanitary sewer force main
to existing manhole, grinder pump station, 3,264 LF of 10 inch SDR sewer pipe and fittings, 20 LF of
10" DIP in 24" steel casing, 9 sanitary sewer manholes. Contractor to connect to existing water main
and install 533 LF C-900 12 inch pipe . Contractor to be responsible for grading easements and ROW
and installing and maintaining associated erosion control measures. The contractor shall also be
responsible for all testing and inspections and providing appropriate traffic control measures until
construction has been completed. The project area is located along Old Louisville Road up to Dean
Forest Road intersection and North 533 LF along Dean Forest Road. All work will occur within the
designated road right of way and utility easements. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing
traffic control at the site and for the offsite disposal of all items/debris to be demolished or removed.

City of Pooler reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any and all bids, to evaluate bids,
to accept portions of any bids and to accept any bid, which in its opinion, may be in the best interest
of the City of Pooler and reserves the right to add to or delete from the contract after the contract
has been awarded. Bidders must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of municipal work
experience in drainage improvements and canal maintenance in addition to other requirements.
Insurance certificates, meeting those limits as stated in the bid documents, 5% bid bond in the form
of a bond submitted by a surety authorized to conduct business in the State of Georgia, or certified
or cashier's check and a non-collusion affidavit must be completed and submitted with the bid.
