The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: This element specific project addresses the deterioration of the U.S. Approach Truss Spans 9 to 14 that are subject to tire-carried winter deicing salts that pass through the open grid steel deck and floorbeams onto the truss below. This project will rehabilitate the original steel truss via blast cleaning and painting of all truss steel within Spans 9 to 11 and additionally in Spans 12, 13, and/or 14 as funding allows. The bid for this contract includes Base Bid and three Add Alternate Bids covering the additional spans.
