Over view: District 1 Office Remodel:
remodel of an office space to cover the existing paneling with drywall, replace doors, frames, and ceilings in existing rooms as indicated on plans. Work to be performed during regular working hours M - F 7:00 - 5:00, electrical work to be done by licensed electrician, inspections to be performed by State Electrical Board coordinated by contractor paid for by Owner.

DOT Estimated Start Date: May 1, 2022 and Final completion on or before July 29, 2022.

This is project is exempt from state sales tax.
Until the contract is awarded the sole point of contact for this project is Jody McNaughton (see bid contract information) any and all questions related to this project included during a site visit are to be submitted to Jody McNaughton in writing preferably through the ION wave Bid system. (See the cut off period for question submissions and Site Visit scheduling indicated below)
DOT Highly recommends Pre-bid meeting: An online pre-bid meeting using Microsoft teams Contractors can join by clicking the link provide below on the day and time provided below or they are welcome to call in and join the meeting. This will be your opportunity to ask questions about the project with the DOT Facilities project manager, Field staff and Procurement staff on the call.

Site Visits: To schedule a site visit contractors must contact Jody McNaughton at jody.mcnaughton@iowadot.us and include the date & time of you wish to visit as we will coordinate with the garage staff and send you confirmation once the site visit has been scheduled.
Contractors must bring their own equipment needed for the site visit. Site visits will be scheduled between November 10, 2021 and November 29, 2021 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. M-F. (Please note DOT will be closed on 11/11/2021)
