Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs Request for Proposals for Affirming Minds Program 2026-2027
The Mercer County Department of Human Services, Division of LGBTQIA+, is accepting proposals for the period of September 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027, with two (2) one-year options to extend, in the total amount of $12,800.00. The Affirming Minds program shall provide structured, affirming, trauma-informed, and evidence-informed psychoeducational group services exclusively to residents of Mercer County, New Jersey. Eligibility for participation shall be limited to individuals who reside within Mercer County. The program shall serve LGBTQIA+ youth, transgender adults, and LGBTQIA+ adults by addressing the elevated rates of anxiety, depression, social isolation, minority stress, and suicidal ideation disproportionately experienced within these populations. Services shall utilize evidence-based group interventions, peer support and connection, skills development, and professional clinical facilitation to promote resilience, emotional wellness, and overall mental health.
