Summary
The Ohio Department of Commerce (COM), Division of the Division of State Fire Marshal is requesting Fiscal Year 2027 (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027) quotes for: 2 Brasch monitoring stations and for troubleshooting current error codes.

The A-Building on the DSFM campus has an environmental control system for the apparatus bays. The control system is now controlled by two (2) Brasch (Model: GSE2-NCM-24) monitoring stations. This system monitors hazardous gases that are produced when running a gasoline or diesel engine.  When readings reach a specified (dangerous) level, a series of exhaust fans turn on automatically to expel the hazardous gasses.  In addition, a make-up air unit (HVAC) is simultaneously triggered to bring in fresh, tempered air the apparatus bays are not experiencing a negative-pressure air space.  All these components work in synchrony to keep the air at a safe level for occupants. All these components rely on the environment control system sensor.

The sensor is a permanent part of the environment control system. It has two sensors inside the unit that detect nitrogen dioxide (product of diesel engines) and carbon monoxide (product of gasoline engines). These units require a calibration upgrade/renewal every two-to-three years - including replacement of both modules that detect NO2 and CO in both sensors.  There are two units located in the apparatus bays, one on the north side and one on the south that need service.  They are due for new calibration kits and, at least one sensor is showing a communication issue error “9203”.
DSFM is requesting for both sensors to have new kits installed (new CO and NO2 modules), calibrate as necessary and to troubleshoot the error code on the north sensor.

•    S/N: SA-21746 – GSE2-NCM-24 (north sensor)
•    S/N: SA-21745 -  GSE2-NCM-24 (south sensor)
