OCONOMOWOC VILLIAGE GREEN RESTROOMS AND PARK IMPROVEMENTS

General Notice

The City of Oconomowoc is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Oconomowoc Villiage Green Restrooms And Park Improvements

The City of Oconomowoc will receive and accept bids ONLY through QuestCDN.com via the online electronic bid service (QuestvBid) for the construction of Oconomowoc Villiage Green Restrooms And Park Improvements until January 23, 2025 at 1:00 pm.  All bids will be downloaded and publicly read aloud during a virtual public bid opening that will be held at the day and time of the bid closing. All plan holders will receive information via Quest on how to join the virtual meeting prior to the bid opening. The bid opportunity will be posted on December 20 ^th , 2024.

The Project includes the following Work:

• Removals: excavation common, landscaping, existing asphalt parking lot and sidewalks, curbs, sea wall, clearing and grubbing and existing site amenities.
  • Erosion Control:  Erosion mat, turbidity barrier, silt fence maintenance, sediment logs, and stormwater basins.
  • Site Improvements: Concrete sidewalk, asphalt parking paving, curb and gutter, integral curb and gutter, pavement marking, dense grade base, detectable warning fields, boardwalk with composite decking, thickened edge concrete sidewalk, steps, railings, irrigation system, park benches, seat walls with lighting, bike racks, bollards, site signage and pavement marking.
  • Electrical: Electrical service, site lighting and underground conduit.
  • Utilities:
    • New sanitary sewer service and service connection
    • New water service, temporary irrigation, permanent irrigation, service connection,
    • New electrical service and connection
    • Stormwater area, stormwater structures, and building drain outlet

Building:

1. Core Shelter: The building includes restrooms, utility chase and mechanical room. Building will have concrete foundations and masonry walls. The pavilion portion will be supplied by the City for installation by the contractor.
   • Site and Turf Restoration: Site and turf restoration, sodding, mulching, general site clean-up and amenities installed.
   • Proposed Schedule: tentatively award the work by February 4 ^th , 2025. Substantial site flatwork project completion is desired for sodding by June 1 ^st , 2025. For the building, boardwalk, and remaining work by November 1 ^st , 2025. All bidders shall submit a proposed project schedule along with their bid.

Bidding Documents are available for download from QuestCDN at www.questcdn.com .  You may download the digital plan documents for $45 by inputting Quest eBidDoc #9447289 on the website’s Project Search page. QuestCDN requires the bidding documents to be downloaded from the site in order to submit a bid in the Vbid system. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through QuestCDN. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than QuestCDN.

Pre-bid Conference

A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Monday, January 13 ^th , 2025 at 1:00pm at Oconomowoc City Hall, 174 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.

Instructions to Bidders.

No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract.  The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages.

No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
