OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE AND EXAMINATION SERVICES

The County of Solano is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive occupational medicine and examination services aimed at maintaining the health and safety of its workforce. This program is essential for identifying and managing occupational illnesses, conducting pre-employment physicals, facilitating return-to-work assessments, and implementing drug and alcohol testing protocols in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The successful contractor will demonstrate expertise in occupational health and a commitment to high-quality timely service delivery within industry standards.

Solano County is the twenty-first largest California County as measured by population with a total population of over 449,000. The County has seven incorporated cities including Fairfield, Benicia, Dixon, Rio Vista, Suisun, Vacaville and Vallejo. Many of the residents reside within these cities and the majority of County facilities are currently located in the incorporated areas. Solano County’s population is growing, particularly in the northern portion of the County.

The County has approximately 3,000 regular position and 360 extra-help position allocations. Currently, approximately 200 job classifications require pre-employment medical examinations. Solano County does not employ a fire protection unit.
