The Office of Oil and Gas Resource Management, intends to solicit master contracts for the plugging and restoration of wells that are leaking methane, utilizing funding from the Methane Emissions Reduction Program (MERP) grant. The goal of this is to address wells that are actively emitting methane, posing environmental risks and contributing to greenhouse gas emissions. By securing master contracts, the Department will be able to efficiently mobilize qualified contractors to plug these wells and reduce emissions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
