NY-Sun Commercial/Industrial Incentive Program

PON 2112 and PON 3082 has been revised.
(1) Complete redesign and restructure of Program Manual into 2 versions: (1) Upstate + Long Island and (2) Con Ed
(2) Program Manuals now incorporate the following rule changes:
• Con Ed: Nonresidential system size cap from 200kW to 7.5MW
• Upstate: Nonresidential system size cap from 200kW to 750kW and Commercial/Industrial up to 7.5MW
• Long Island: Nonresidential from 500kW to 750kW
• Con Ed commercial/industrial sector no longer exists and have been incorporated into the Con Ed Nonresidential Sector
• New incentive rates for Nonresidential and Commercial/Industrial blocks
• New incentive adders will be available for Landfill/Brownfields, Parking Canopies, Rooftop Canopies, and Multifamily Affordable Housing
• Nonresidential projects will have the option to request payment assignments
• Commercial/Industrial projects will have the option to request full assignments
• 110% demand rule will be removed for all Nonresidential and Commercial/Industrial projects
• Co-location of systems will not be allowed unless they are on a Landfill/Brownfield
• Site plans must be signed and stamped by a New York State Professional Engineer
• As-Built electrical drawing stamped by a New York State Professional Engineer required with project invoice
• Nonresidential payments will be paid at 100% at time of completion
• Commercial/Industrial payments will be made in 3 payments one at commercial operation and 2 yearly performance payments
• Utility bills will only be required to be submitted with an application for New York Power Authority (NYPA) customers

ELigibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:

Standard incentive - Cash incentives are available for qualified customers who wish to install PV systems through applications submitted by a Participating Contractor. A Participating Contractor has signed a Participation Agreement (with NYSERDA, agreeing to abide by Program terms and conditions). Affordable Solar additional incentive - Additional incentives for solar PV installations are available for customer households who qualify as low-to-moderate income. The additional incentive matches or doubles the standard incentive and can apply for up to 6kW of the total system size. The Participating Contractor or Builder is responsible for preparing and submitting all necessary project application and incentive paperwork to NYSERDA.
