NOTICE OF SINGLE SOURCE TO THE PUBLIC

Shelby County Government has identified a single source purchase for the goods/services as

listed below. This notice is not a request for bid, proposal, or qualifications.

Single Source

Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program - Legal Services

The identified vendor will:

Provide legal representation for Memphis and Shelby County residents facing active evictions in

Shelby County General Sessions Courts. The vendor will work directly with Shelby County

General Sessions Courts Judges, landlord attorneys, and landlords to settle eviction cases on

behalf of tenants who have been approved for rental assistance through

the COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program.

The identified vendor must be knowledgeable in the following:

1. Tennessee State laws related to landlord and tenant responsibilities.

2. The Shelby County General Sessions Court eviction process.

Procurement Timing/Deadlines:

1. Legal services are to be rendered upon execution of a contract through June 30, 2024,

with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.

In accordance with Shelby County’s Purchasing policy, notice of a single source will be posted

on the County’s website for seven (7) days prior to award.

Notice expires on December 7, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.
