The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain proposals from qualified design firms interested in entering into a Design Agreement with the Waukee Community School District of Waukee, IA (herein referred to as “District” or “Waukee CSD”) to provide desired services as outlined in this RFP.

Project Timeline – November 2025- Fall 2027

RFP issued for Restrooms and Locker Room Upgrade	October 21st, 2025 11:30 PM
Last date/time to submit questions regarding RFP	October 28th, 2025 2:00 PM
Proposals due to District	November 6th, 2025 2:00 PM
Approval of A/E Agreement by School Board	November 24, 2025
Construction Bid- Phase 1-Restrooms	March, 2026
Construction Administration and Record Documents- Phase 1-Restrooms	Up to Fall 2026
Construction Bid- Phase 2- Restrooms	February 2027
Construction Administration and Record Documents- Phase 2-Restrooms	Up to Fall 2027

Questions and Answers
All questions regarding this solicitation shall be received via email to jjanssen@waukeeschools.org by no later than October 28, 2025 2:00 PM CST. The Waukee CSD will provide responses to those questions deemed appropriate at https://www.waukeeschools.org/Waukee CSD/departments/business-services/notice-to-bidders-rfp-rfq. Answers will not be provided on an individual basis.

Communication
Until a notice of intent is awarded, the sole point of contact for this proposal opportunity will be the Purchasing Agent listed in the event.

Proposal Submission
Proposals are due November 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM CST . Proposals shall be emailed only via email to jjanssen@waukeeschools.org as outlined below, prior to the proposal deadline. Proposals should be signed by an authorized individual to bind the firm, and shall be valid for at least sixty (60) days. Only proposals received via email in the time frame given will be considered.Please mark your email proposals: “PROPOSAL FOR ARCHITECTURAL and PLUMBING DESIGN SERVICES- Waukee Middle School” and place the name of the company submitting the proposal on the outside of the envelope. The school district reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to accept the proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the school district in its sole and absolute discretion.Notification of Intent to Award
After responses are evaluated, a Notification of Intent to Award (NOIA) and evaluation tabulation will be sent via email of the Waukee CSD’s decision to all suppliers.

After an award is made, a proposal evaluation summary will be sent to all companies who submitted a proposal. Proposal results will not be given over the telephone or prior to award. Proposals may be withdrawn any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids; no proposal may be modified or withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days thereafter.

A recommendation will be submitted to the school board at their regular meeting on November 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM
