NOTICE TO PREQUALIFY CONTRACTORS
NEW SPORTS FIELD & CONCESSION BUILDING AND LIGHTING
DON JULIAN, EDGEWOOD ACADEMY
PROJECT/25-26-001
Bassett Unified School District is seeking prequalification for General Contractors interested in bidding the upcoming
BASSETT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT EDGEWOOD ES & DON JULIAN ES SPORTS FIELDS. To be eligible to bid on both
projects contractors must be prequalified, prequalification applications must be received by Bassett Unified School
District by 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 2, 2026.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE IMPENDING PROJECT:
BASSETT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT EDGEWOOD ES & DON JULIAN ES SPORTS FIELDS the Projects includes
construction of a new state of the art artificial field for both football and soccer, a new rubber surface running track,
associated bleachers, concession stand and restrooms. The project also includes the construction of stadium lights
at each school location. Both projects will be part of one bid package.
Prequalification applications will be available on or about January 15, 2026, at the district website. To download the
application from www.bassettusd.org, Click on Departments, Business Services, Click on RFP/RFQ/Bids at the right
side of the page. Downloads are available at no charge.
Respondents must mail or deliver three (3) bound copies and one (1) electronic copy of the Prequalification
Questionnaire to:

ALL RESPONSES ARE DUE BY 2:00 P.M. on February 2, 2026
Oral, telegraphic, facsimile, telephone or emailed prequalification packet will not be accepted. Applications
received after this date and time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
All questions regarding the Prequalification Application or Prequalification process must be submitted no later than
1:00 P.M. on January 27, 2026. Questions will only be accepted in writing and sent via email to the Brianda Ramirez,
brianda.ramirez@bassettusd.org and the District’s Director of Project Management, Robert Segarra,
robert.segarra@cumming-group.com.
