Notice to Intent- purchase- Biological Safety Cabinet for mailroom

Procurement of a new, larger Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC) to REPLACE the outdated Labconco 2015 model.

Recommends a larger, custom-designed BSC for screening letters and flats. This would be more helpful during the screening process as it allows the positioning of a full USPS mail tray or tub within the well of the BSC, thus not adversely affecting air flow, nd including the following equipment:

* 6' XPERT filtered Balance System with Guardian LED Monitor, 35.5" deep - 115V 60Hz (1 QTY)

* Surface with Spill Trough (Deep) - 6' X 35.5" D STAINLESS WORK (1 QTY)

* 72" TELESCOPING BASE STAND with casters, 29" deep, 27.5" - 33.5" high

This will also:

-streamline operations, reducing the time and labor required for mail handling

-enhanced capacity will accommodate the growing volume of mail, ensuring timely distribution and processing.
