Notice to Contractors: Montclair Place Drainage Improvement Project

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:

Sealed bids will be received by Mobile Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP), Attention Roberta Swann, 118 North Royal St. Suite 601, Mobile, AL 36602 until March 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM (CDT), for:

Montclair Place Drainage Improvement Project Daphne, Baldwin County, Alabama

at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read. A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to Mobile Bay National Estuary Program in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract.

The work includes the restoration and rehabilitation of approximately 440 linear feet of ephemeral stream in Daphne, Alabama. In addition to bank stabilization the project will include selective clearing, grubbing, excavation, grading, installing stream level structures, installation and maintenance of erosion control, and emergent and riparian planting and landscaping. Stream level structures include step pools. Erosion control includes mulch, coconut coir fiber matting and temporary seeding. Planting and landscaping include installation of both wetland and upland seed mixes, live staking, bare root planting, and plugs.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be conducted on March 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM (CDT) at the Montclair Swimming Pool located at 206 Montclair Loop, Daphne, AL 36526. A site visit shall be conducted immediately following the meeting. Bidders not in attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting will not be allowed to submit a bid for construction of the project.
