Notice to Bidders - Repair and Preventive Maintenance of Harrison Parking Center 2026

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the Repair and Preventive Maintenance (2026) of the Town of Harrison - Harrison Parking
Center will be received by the Town of Harrison, in the office of the Town, 318 Harrison Avenue, Harrison,
New Jersey 07029 until 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at which time they will be publicly
opened and read aloud. Bidder bears the risk of late delivery. Any bids received after the stated time will be
returned unopened.
Project (the "Project") Base Bid mainly involves tasks such as precast double tee concrete repairs; overhead
and vertical concrete repairs; shear connector repairs; slab-on-grade repairs; pre-cast concrete tee joint
sealant replacement; epoxy injecting of cracks; sealing of cracks and joints; cove joint repairs; installation of
waterproofing membrane and wearing coarse; facade sealant replacement; stair towers waterproofing
coating; other miscellaneous repairs.
This project shall be performed in accordance with Prevailing Wage Rates for the State of New Jersey. The
project is located within Hudson County.
Only those Contractors who have demonstrated past experience on parking garage rehabilitation projects in
the last five years shall be considered a qualified bidder for this Project. A minimum of five (5) references are
required in order to be considered a qualified bidder for this Project.
A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Monday July 13 2026 at 11:00 AM, in the Operations Manager's Office in
the Harrison Parking Center for the purpose of establishing the listing of contractors and to answer questions
with respect to the Project. Representatives of each Contractor submitting a bid for the Project must attend
this meeting. ATTENDANCE AT THIS MEETING IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
Bidders shall submit a Bid bond for an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the
Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) with the submission of the Bid.
Sealed bids shall be addressed to the Town of Harrison, 318 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, New Jersey 07029.
Attn: Paul J. Zarbetski. The outer envelope should clearly indicate: "REPAIR AND PREVENTIVE
MAINTENANCE - 2026 OF THE HARRISON PARKING CENTER - SEALED BID - DO NOT OPEN."
Specifications and other bid information may be obtained electronically free of charge. Hardcopies can be
picked up upon request from the office of the Town Clerk at the address set forth above. A non-refundable
fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) in the form of a check payable to The Town of Harrison will be required for each
set of physical hard copy specifications
The successful bidder must post a performance and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the
contract price and with a bonding company acceptable to the Town of Harrison, upon execution of the
contract for the Project. The Town of Harrison reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any
informalities therein. The Town of Harrison may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from
that described in this advertisement, with not less than two calendar days' notice by certified delivery,
facsimile machine or other electronic means to those bidders receiving plans.
