NOTICE TO BIDDERS

ADVERTISEMENT AND NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Orange Township for the "Bell St., E. Highland

Ave., Frankfort St., Hayward St. Improvement Project” and will be opened and read in public at the Orange

Township Municipal Building, 29 N Day Street, Council Chambers, 4th Floor on Wednesday, July 8th , at 10:00

A.M. prevailing time.

The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work

set forth in these Specifications. Plans, Specifications and forms of bid for the proposed work prepared by Pennoni

Associates, and approved by the City of Orange Township have been filed at the City of Orange Township Public

Works Department at 29 North Day Street, Room #304, City of Orange Township, New Jersey 07050 (Telephone

No. 973-952-6078) and may be inspected by prospective bidders Monday through Thursday, beginning

Wednesday, June 17th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Bidders may pick up a copy of the Plans and Specifications at

the Pennoni office: 1085 Raymond Boulevard Suite 2102, Newark, NJ 07102 ( Telephone No.: 973-265-9775 ). A

non-refundable fee of $100.00 is required for the cost of preparation. Checks shall be made payable to Pennoni

Associates, Inc.

Bids must be made on the standard Proposal form in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed in a sealed

envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the

Township of Orange, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the

order of the Township of Orange for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be

more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety

company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance and

Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract.

The signed Proposal forms and bid security must be delivered to the address named above on or before the hour

named above. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or forfeit

their bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other

bid securities will be returned after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's

Performance Bond.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 for Equal

Employment Opportunities.

The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders,

who, in the judgment of the Township of Orange makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities

as may be permitted by law.
