INVITATION TO BID

NOTICE TO BIDDERS hereby is given that Bids are invited and will be received as set forth

below.

1. OWNER:

Township of Brick

2. WORK TITLE: Lions Head South Roadway Resurfacing Program

3. WORK SITE:

P/O Lauren Lane South, Gallo Lane, Tennis Court, Abbey

Road, Carter Way, Yorkwood Drive, and Ashford Drive

4. WORK DESCRIPTION:

The major work items to be completed under the scope of this Contract consists of roadway

milling and resurfacing.

5. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS:

Contract Documents may be examined, and/or purchased at a fee of $14.00, Monday through

Friday, except legal holidays, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., prevailing time, at the Township of

Brick. Cash is accepted and all checks are to be made out to Township of Brick. Credit card

payments are acceptable in-person only.

6. USE OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS:

Contract Documents are available solely for the purpose of obtaining Bids and not to confer a

license or grant for any other purpose.

7. PRE-BID MEETING: None

8. BID GUARANTEE:

Bid Guarantee is required in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount

indicated in the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000).

9. CONSENT OF SURETY:

A certificate is required from a surety company stating that it will provide bonds in the form and

amounts as stated in the Contract Documents.

SUBMISSION OF BIDS:

Bids should be placed in sealed envelopes and must be received by Township of Brick prior to the

Date and Time indicated for Public Bid Opening and Reading in Paragraph #11. No Bids will be

received after the indicated Date and Time. Bidders may either:

(a) mail Bids to: Township of Brick

or (b) hand deliver Bids to Township of Brick at the Place indicated for Public Bid Opening and

Reading in Paragraph #11.

12. STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS:

Bidders are required to comply with all applicable Laws and Regulations including the N.J.S.A.

10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action) P.L. 1999, C.238 (Public Works

Contractor Registration), P.L. 1963, C. 150 (Prevailing Wages), P.L. 2004, C. 57), and P.L. 2009

C.315 (New Jersey Business Registration Requirements).

13. REJECTION OF BIDS:

Township of Brick reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any immaterial defect

or informality in any Bid, if deemed in the best interest of Township of Brick.
