Qualified bidders may submit sealed bids for the “FORT MADISON PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING” project to the City Clerk at City Hall, 811 Avenue E, Fort Madison, Iowa, until 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Any bids received after this time will be returned unopened. All bids properly received will be opened and publicly read aloud in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
Specifications and instructions are available in the attached document or at City Hall, Public Works Department, Fort Madison, Iowa. For more information, please contact the Public Works Director, Mark Bousselot at (319) 372-7700, ext. 204.
The City of Fort Madison reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to accept the proposal which the City Council deems to be in the best interest of the City.

Qualifications:

All Bidders are required to provide a statement regarding their residency status as required by 875 Iowa Administrative Code Chapter 156.
Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
