NOTICE OF INTENTION TO RECEIVE COMPETITIVE BIDS
Sealed bids, addressed to the Honorable Mayor and City Council will be received at the office of the City
Clerk, City of Belton, City Hall; 333 Water Street, Belton, Texas 76513 until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday,
January 27, 2026, for the construction of the Avenue I Drainage Assessment and Improvements Phase I
Project in the City of Belton, Texas. The bids shall be labeled:
AVENUE I DRAINAGE ASSESSMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS PHASE I
BELTON, TEXAS
Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided and must be accompanied by a cashier’s check, certified
check or acceptable bidder’s bond payable without recourse to the City of Belton, Texas in an amount not
less than five (5) percent of the bid submitted as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and
execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond within ten (10) days after the notification of the award
of the contract.
The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the main Conference Room in Belton City Hall; 333
Water Street, Belton, Texas 76513 the same day, same time. The City Council will officially review the
bids at a regularly scheduled meeting and award the contract as soon thereafter as practicable.
The City of Belton reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, as the best interest of the City
may require, and to waive any informality in bids received.
This project includes, but is not limited to:
New Detention Pond and drainage channel grading, approximately 250 l.f. of new Limestone Block
Retaining Wall, Concrete and Stone Rip Rap, approximately 180 l.f. of 24” RCP storm sewer, three
(3) 4’x4’ Precast Concrete Junction Box, Concrete Headwall, Precast concrete 6:1 safety end
treatment, SWPPP installations and traffic control.
Construction Drawings, Specifications and Bidding Documents may be secured beginning Monday,
December 29, 2025, at Clark Associates, PLLC; 215 North Main, Temple, Texas; (254) 899-0899 for a
non-refundable cost of $50.00 per paper set of 11”x17” Plans & Bid Manual. Checks shall be made
payable to Clark Associates, PLLC. (There is no charge for electronic pdf files of 11”x17” Plans & Bid

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held in the Harris Community Center located at
401 North Alexander, Belton, Texas 76513 at 10:00 a.m; on Tuesday January 6, 2026.
