Notice of Surplus Equipment Sale

The City of Pontiac is disposing of two storage sheds (sold individually). The City will be accepting sealed bids until 2 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Pontiac City Hall, 115 W. Howard Street at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids must be approved by Pontiac City Council prior to final disposition.

Description: Total of two sheds

Made by Premier Portable Buildings. 12’x18’ wood storage shed (12’11’ interior w/ 6’ covered porch); insulated; lockable double door, finished interior, wired for electricity with internal breaker panel and exterior electrical hookup outlet, AC/Heat unit installed and operational.

Location:  The sheds are located on Block 59 located at the corner of Main and Washington Streets in downtown Pontiac.

Removal: The winning bidder is responsible for all costs associated with removing the shed within 20 business days after award of bid

A minimum bid of $9,000 is required for each item. All bids must be submitted on the City of Pontiac bid sheet. All bid sheets submitted on the attached bid sheet and MUST BE SEALED in an envelope with the words “SURPLUS PROPERTY BID” clearly written on it. Bids should be submitted to City Hall, 115 W. Howard St., Pontiac, IL  61764.

All items are sold “as is” with no warranties for guarantees. Terms of payment are cash or certified cashier check. All winning bids are subject to the approval of the Pontiac City Council. The City of Pontiac reserves the right to cancel any bid(s) and reserves the right to waive any technicalities. ALL BIDS WILL BE CONSIDERED SEPARATELY.
