NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE: Paralegal/Clerical services to provide assistance to court patrons for protective orders and stalking injunctions for the Salt Lake 3rd District Court

Project Description: This contractor is a non-profit who will prepare and serve relevant documents for each petitioner including Verified Petition, Return of Service, Sheriff’s Information Sheet.
When applicable, paralegals will prepare Waiver of Fees, Writ of Assistance, and Arrangement of Foreign Service. Paralegals will send Police Report Request Forms by email to appropriate law enforcement agencies if such reports are necessary for petitioner’s court hearing. The contractor will provide at least 4 personnel to help the court with these services for the price of only 2 full-time court employees, which provides a large savings for the Court.
Contractor staff is trained in the areas of domestic violence and family law, with at least one year of experience under the direct supervision of a trained and experienced attorney. The attorney will either be on-site or available by telephone to assist in any screening decisions.
