NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE INTENT 3D Wing Media Destroyer

The 673d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska, intends to award a firm fixed price, sole-source contract under the authority of FAR 19.1506(b) to GigaBiter LLC, a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB). The proposed contract action is for the procurement of a Shredder/Media Destroyer capable of destroying IT equipment to such a degree that allows classified/SAP media to be destroyed IAW DoDM 5205.07 and the NSA Evaluated Products List.

This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with the WOSB Set-Aside Program, specifically targeting underutilized WOSB vendors capable of meeting the government’s requirements. After thorough market research and evaluation, it has been determined that GigaBiter LLC is the only known source that can provide the required item/ with the necessary specifications, and technical capability.

The 3rd Wing requires an industrial shredder capable of destroying SAP IT at an appropriate level where it can be thrown away without cause for concern. Along with the installation, shipping, and training on item. This item must meet criterion within DoDM 5205.07 para 4.9 as well as being on the NSA Evaluated Products List for Solid State Denigration.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.

The circumstances of this contract action deem one single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. Interested organizations, who believe they can meet the requirement, may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the requirement in writing to keely.blakley-mclarry@us.af.mil and eric.punjabi@us.af.mil no later than 1:00 PM, AKDT, September 13 2025. A determination by the Government not to sole-source this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. No request for proposals or quotes will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
