NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

MARQUETTE COUNTY LAND BANK AUTHORITY
Commercial Building Abatement

DUE DATE: September 12 , 2025 by 1:00 p.m. local time

The Marquette County Land Bank Authority is hereby soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for the asbestos abatement of the commercial property, located at 401 W Washington Street within the City of Marquette, Marquette County, Michigan. Demolition is also planned for this structure. The demolition has already been bid out and will be awarded under a separate contract. The parcel ID number is 52-52-002-201-30.

Since the scope of this RFP is for asbestos abatement only, the need for subcontractors is not anticipated. The MCLBA will be contracting separately for a final air clearance post-abatement, as required. However, the abatement contractor may be responsible for personal air monitoring during abatement, and this service may be subcontracted. The selected contractor will be responsible for all subcontracted work. Subcontractors must be approved in advance by the MCLBA and provide proof of insurance coverage the same as the General Abatement Contractor.

Pre-proposal meeting
A formal bid walkthrough will not be held for this project. Bidders may inspect premises by contacting Antonio Adan at the following e-mail: aadan@mqtco.org to schedule a self-guided tour of the premises prior to Sep 15, 2025. Building entry for site inspection will be at the contractor’s risk. Site inspection prior to bidding is encouraged but not required.

Sealed Bids will be received electronically via e-mail to the Marquette County Land Bank Authority aadan@mqtco.org
before 1:00 p.m., September 12, 2025.

The Bid Form shall be submitted by email with the following subject: “Bid for asbestos abatement of 401 W Washington, Marquette MI.” To be considered, electronic proposals must be received by e-mail addressed to aadan@mqtco.org by 2:00 p.m. on Sep 16, 2025.
