Notice of Public Hearing - Amendment to Urban Revitalization Area

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF PLEASANT HILL, IOWA, RELATING TO THE ADOPTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE PLAN FOR THE PLEASANT HILL URBAN REVITALIZATION AREA FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL, IOWA, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 404 OF THE CODE OF IOWA.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  That there is now on file for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk of Pleasant Hill, Iowa (the “City”), an amendment (the “Amendment”) for the Pleasant Hill Urban Revitalization Area (the “Urban Revitalization Area”) within the City.

This City Council will meet at 06:00 p.m., on June 9, 2026, at the City Hall Council Chambers, Pleasant Hill, Iowa, at which time a hearing will be held pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 404 of the Code of Iowa (the “Act”) on the proposal to adopt the Amendment, pursuant to the provisions of the Act.  At such public hearing all residents of the City, and any other person having an interest in the matter may appear and be heard for or against the adoption of the Amendment, pursuant to the Act.

The Amendment will suspend the acceptance of new applications for property tax exemption benefits under the Plan beginning on June 12, 2026 until further action is taken by the City Council to repeal such suspension.
