Notice of Procurement - Design-Build Services

Please be advised that Government of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Polytechnic will be releasing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in early 2025 to qualify prospective Respondents for the provision of Design-Build services. When released, prospective Respondents will have an opportunity to provide a proposal of their qualifications to be selected for a competitive process to deliver a new Skilled Trades and Technology (Trades) building.

This notice of procurement (Notice) is to encourage industry participation and assist with teaming. Prospective Respondents can submit an expression of interest in the upcoming Design-Build RFQ through the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/fKNuBsxQb2

Contact information will be collected through the above link. When submitting, prospective Respondents will have the option to consent to their information being made publicly available during the RFQ. Those who consent to having their interest and contact information released will be listed on https://sasktenders.ca with the RFQ documents.

This Notice and the expression of interest submission form will expire on December 31, 2024. The upcoming RFQ will be subject to applicable trade agreements.

The new Saskatchewan Polytechnic Saskatoon campus will be located at Innovation Place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The project is a priority for the Government of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Polytechnic to deliver a new and consolidated campus needed in Saskatoon. The new campus will respond to the province's existing and emerging advanced education and applied research requirements while providing modern, efficient infrastructure and optimized space provision. Campus facilities are anticipated to comprise approximately 840,000 square feet (gross building area) in a mix of new and renovated buildings that provide a leading polytechnic educational environment with full supporting services. The facilities will be planned in an integrated fashion as a complete post-secondary campus, but programming will gradually transition to the new campus location to minimize interruption to operations and student education.

The first facility being planned for development and procurement release is the new Skilled Trades and Technology (Trades) building. Future facilities for the new Saskatoon campus are being planned in succession, following the Trades building.
