Notice of Intent to Sole Source - 341 Missile Wing Skid Car Conversion Kit

Notice of Intent to Sole-Source: The 341st Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole-source contract to Skidcar System Inc. for the materials and technical assistance required to convert the 2008 Ford F-350 SkidCar System, currently in use at Malmstrom Air Force Base, into a 2014 Ford F-150 SkidCar System for continued use at Malmstrom Air Force Base. SkidCar System Inc. is the sole authorized dealer, maintenance provider, and service provider for SkidCar Equipment in the United States. This authorization ensures the proper conversion and installation of the SkidCar kit to maintain system integrity. A reduction in authorized missile complex vehicle operators may pose a mission-critical risk to nuclear security. This conversion and installation is essential to ensure the 341st Missile Wing can properly maintain nuclear missile systems, a critical component of the base's overall strategic mission.

This is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Any response to this notice must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition for this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.

If no affirmative written response is received by the deadline below, the award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable as a response to this notice.
