NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF MICHIGAN SCIENTIFIC SW-SR2 STEERING EFFORT TORQUE AND ANGLE TRANSDUCER

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Installation and Technology Division, 6472 Integrity Court, Building 4401, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005 has a requirement to procure two (2) Michigan Scientific SW-SR2 Steering Effort Torque and Angle Transducers to include Clamp Sets. The contract shall include case, non-transferrable warranty, and shipping.

The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to Michigan Scientific Corporation,8500 Ance Road, Charlevoix, MI 49720. In accordance with FAR 13.501, this award will be under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334515 – Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals and is being issued under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).

All responses received within 15 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in writing no later than 16 April 2025 at 1:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time. A determination by the Government not to compete with the proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

This is not a Request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government’s intent to award on a sole source basis for the required laboratory instrument.
