Notice of Intent to Sole Source Soo Area Office Security Infrastructure

This Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Siemens for the purpose of expanding the current security infrastructure by adding additional cameras and CAC readers for the Sault Material Storage project covering the Storage Yard and MSB parking lot located at the United States Army Corps of Engineers Soo Area Office located in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and will sole source to:

Siemens Industry Inc.

1000 E. Deerfield PWKY

Buffalo Grove, IL 60089

As part of this procurement, the Detroit District intends to specify brand name products on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) to Siemens Industry Inc.

Work under this contract is expected to include the following:

1. Cameras:
   
   
   
   1. Specs: Pelco D7230L, Pelco SRXP4-5V10-EBT-IR, Pelco SRXP4-5V10-EMD, and Pelco IMF122-1ES
   
   
   2. MSB: Minimum requirement of two (2) fixed and two (2) PTZ.
   
   
   3. Storage Yard: Minimum requirement of seven (7) fixed and three (3) PTZ.
   
   
   
   


2. CAC Readers:
   
   
   
   1. Specs: IDV-9216AB Identiv TouchSecure SC Keypad Contact Reader – High Assurance Ready, OSDP Ready HF/LF - Termina
   
   
   2. MSB: Minimum requirement of six (6)
   
   
   3. Storage Yard: Minimum requirement of six (6)
   
   
   
   


3. Panels/Boards for readers:
   
   
   
   1. Specs: iStar-iSTAR Ultra G2 GCM board, CSTAR-ACM STAR Ultra ACM board. Includes USB cable.
   
   
   2. Minimum requirement of eight (8) readers.
   
   
   
   

This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal. This is not a solicitation and the information contained herein are subject to change or be eliminated from the requirement. Only Contractor's capable of providing directly compatible equivalent products shall respond. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

Interested parties who feel they have the capability may identify their interest and capabilities to provide directly compatible equivalent products, please provide the following:

4. Supporting documentation to illustrate the directly compatible equivalent product(s)

Responses shall be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government to specify these brand names, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
