Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Armed Guard Services at Frances Perkins Building

The Department of Labor, on behalf of the The Security Center (SC), intends to negotiate and award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) GSA Task Order for Armed Guard Services to Diversified Protection Corporation (DPC), 8020 S. Rainbow Blvd., Suite 100-530, Las Vegas, NV 89139, under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(C), which states, “in the interest of economy and efficiency, the new work is a logical follow-on to an original Federal Supply Schedule order provided that the original order was placed in accordance with the applicable Federal Supply Schedule ordering procedures.”

Armed guard services include tasks such as management and supervision of the contractor’s staff, access control and security inspections, security patrolling, alarm monitoring and electronic security operations, and command center operations. The contractor will provide trained and certified to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) protective security officer standards, armed security officers. The Period of Performance will consist of a 3-month base and three, 3-month options, stating on 12/28/24.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 561612 with the Size Standard of $29,000,000.00.
