Notice of Intent to Award a Contract
Notice is hereby given that the City of Abbotsford (the “City”) is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Optiv Canada Inc. (the “Service Provider”) for the following: SentinelOne Complete Protection - Endpoint Protection Software SentinelOne Singularity Identity for IDPs. The contract will be for three (3) years from February 22, 2025 to February 21, 2028 and the contract amount for the three years is up to a maximum of $290,000.00 CAD.
Background
The City utilizes SentinelOne Complete Protection Platform to secure approximately 1,500 endpoints, including servers, laptops, and workstations, against cyber threats. This solution provides real-time threat detection, automated response, and remediation. Additionally, SentinelOne Singularity Identity protects Active Directory from identity-based attacks, a key component of the City's cybersecurity strategy.
SentinelOne has been integrated into the City's security operations, and replacing it would require significant effort, increasing risks and operational costs. Renewing this solution ensures continued protection, compliance, and operational stability while avoiding potential disruptions associated with transitioning to a different platform.
The current contract with Optiv Canada Inc expires on February 21, 2025.
Scope of Services or Specifications
The scope of services includes SentinelOne Complete Protection Platform for endpoint security and SentinelOne Singularity Identity for identity protection and intrusion detection.
Rationale for Contemplating a Direct Award
To ensure continuity of support and maintain the effective operation of the City's endpoint protection platform, preventing operational disruptions that would arise from transitioning to a new solution, including reconfiguration and integration efforts. Without renewing SentinelOne Protection, the City's cybersecurity defenses would be compromised, increasing security risks and potential costs associated with a breach or attack.Contract Value:
The value of the contract is expected not to exceed $290,000.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.

Submissions by other methods will not be accepted.
Respondents objecting must outline specific reasons for their objection in their email as well as demonstrate their ability to perform the contemplated work and/or services and show availability and resources. The Respondent’s ability to provide goods and services of the same or better quality and price and within the required period will be the key criteria used in the consideration of any Respondent’s objections.
