NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Morrow County intends to award a sole source
procurement pursuant to ORS 279B.075 for the purchase of a replacement
hydraulic pump from BearCat Pumps for a Morrow County Public Works
distributor truck. The procurement is for a one-time purchase of the required
replacement component.
SOLE SOURCE BASIS
1. The existing distributor truck is equipped with a BearCat hydraulic pump
requiring an identical replacement for compatibility with the existing hydraulic
system.
2. The specified replacement pump is a direct replacement that matches the
existing equipment configuration and operating specifications.
3. Use of an alternate manufacturer or model could require engineering
modifications, additional labor, downtime, compatibility verification, and
increased cost to the County.
4. Based on information provided by Public Works, BearCat Pumps is the only
known source capable of providing the exact replacement pump meeting the
required specifications.
5. Procurement from BearCat Pumps is determined to be in the County's best
interest because it minimizes downtime, maintains equipment reliability, and
avoids unnecessary modification costs.
