Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source - Technelite® Generators Mo99/Tc99m and Xenon 133 Gas

The Brooke Army Medical Center Health Contracting Branch (BAMC HCB), Medical Readiness Contracting Office – West (MRCO-W), U.S. Army Health Contracting Activity (USAHCA), Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to Lantheus Medical Imaging, Inc., a Small Business (SB), under the authority of FAR § 13.106-1(b)(1), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. This requirement is forTechnelite® Generators Mo99/Tc99m and Xenon 133 Gas needed for the compounding of various radiopharmaceuticals within the Nuclear Medicine Pharmacy at BAMC, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Award will be on or about 1 January 2026. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325412, “Pharmaceutical Preparation Manufacturing”. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,300 employees.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for Technelite® Generators Mo99/Tc99m and Xenon 133 Gas. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available.

BAMC HCB intends to make a sole source award to Lantheus Medical Imaging, Inc., 331 Treble Cove Rd, North Billerica, Massachusetts, 01862-2849.
