Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source - Oil Equipment Repair

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

The 5th Contracting Squadron in Minot Air Force Base, ND, intends to award a single source purchase order to provide maintenance/repairs for the Spectroil M series Oil Analysis Equipment. Due to the unique and proprietary nature of the equipment, including its embedded software and complex programming, only one company is authorized to perform service and repairs. The company maintains strict control over access to the equipment, limiting it to their own Spectro-trained engineers within the United States.

This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) & 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is after 18 July 2025. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide a repair service for the Spectroil M series Oil Analysis Equipment. The deadline date for the submittals is 18 July 2025 at 11 am Central Standard Time.

A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
