Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Cost Per Reportable Result (CPRR),Leasing the Automated Microbial Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing system

Medical Readiness Contracting Office West- (MRCO-W), Fort Cavazos Health Contracting Branch, Fort Cavazos, Texas Notice of Intent to award Sole Source contract to Beckman Coulter, Inc., a large business under authority 41 U.S.C. 1901(e)(2) implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)13.501(a)(1)(ii): Sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. The requirement is for Leasing the Automated Microbial Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing system and to provide the required consumables for the analyzers for Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC), located at Fort Cavazos Texas.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for requirement is for Leasing the Automated Microbial Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing system and to provide the required consumables for the analyzers. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deems only one source reasonably available.

Fort Cavazos Health Contracting Branch intends to make a sole source award to Beckman Coulter, Inc., S Kraemer Blvd, Brea, CA 92821-6232 United States.
