Intent to Sole Source
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed price 3-month bridge contract with a large business Roche Diagnostics Corporation to cover the gap in the operation for in-house testing period of the new chemistry analyzer that is currently in the process of procurement. This limited source action will prevent service disruptions at the medical center while the new contract is being procured and tested. The anticipated award date for this bridge contract is 02/28/2025.

This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.101(a)(2) and 5.201(b)(1), to disseminate and publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the marketplace for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
