NOTICE INVITING BIDS

Notice is hereby given that the City of Hermosa Beach will receive electronic bids until 2:00PM on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at which time the electronic bids will be publicly opened at the City Council Chambers at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254 and posted on Planet Bids for CIP No. 699 Parking Structure Lot “C” Improvements-Elevator Modernization Project.

The project includes providing all necessary labor, materials and equipment to modernize and upgrade of an existing hydraulic elevator system serving the facility (levels G, 1 and 2) including but not limited to replacement of the existing pump with a new unit, new cab interiors, new car and hoistway doors, cladding existing entrances, replacement of pit channel and buffers, installing new signals and operating fixtures (hall button stations, hall lanterns, car operating panels, car position indicators), epoxy painting, and add alternate items of work such as providing capability for future connection of a CCTV system and an emergency battery lowering device for power failure, mold remediation and replacement of drywall inside the hoist way per attached report; and other items of work necessary to complete the work.

The duration of the project is 120 working days. All bids must be submitted electronically on Planet Bids Portal, accessible through the City’s webpage at http://https://www.hermosabeach.gov/our-government/city-clerk/bids-and-proposals where you must first register as a vendor through our Planet Bids Portal. Contract Documents, plans, and specifications will be available for review on Planet Bids. All relevant materials shall be obtained from the link above.
