North Topsail Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion - Design-Build Project Announcement and Interest Meeting

Onslow Water and Sewer Authority (ONWASA) is excited to announce that it intends to procure a Design-Build (DB) team for the expansion of the North Topsail Wastewater Treatment Plant (NTWWTP).

The project will be delivered through the progressive design-build method and the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is anticipated to be released toward the end of the second quarter 2025.

The NTWWTP is permitted to treat and discharge 1.54 million gallons per day (MGD) via a wastewater irrigation system and two high-rate infiltration basins. The general scope of this project is to expand the existing 1.5 MGD facility to 3.0 MGD and rehabilitate the existing facilities as needed.

HDR is serving as the Owner's Advisor for this project. There will be a project interest meeting which will include project background and the NTWWTP tour on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
