STATEMENT OF NEED
REQUIREMENT
The Cheyenne Health Care System has a SiteRite 9 Vascular Ultrasound System or equal requirement for the Cheyenne VA Clinic located at 2360 E. Pershing Blvd. Cheyenne, WY 82009
SPECIFICATIONS
Brand name or equal SiteRite 9 Vascular Ultrasound System, model# 9770800, Qty: 1, SiteRite 9 Ultrasound System Cue Linear Probe, model #9770803, Qty: 2, Medical Equipment Roll Stand, model #9770206, Qty: 1, and Sherlock 3CG Tip Confirmation Sensor, model #9770358, Qty:1. The Vascular Ultrasound System is an all-in-one system that helps improve clinician efficiency when placing peripherally inserted central catheters, central venous catheters, IV lines, and other vascular devices. Using ultrasound technology increases first-attempt insertion and reduces unnecessary needlesticks. It offers a range of on-board vessel identification and vessel measurement tools to support vascular access devise selection. The system uses ECG to ensure proper tip location and provides continuous and real-time needle tracking during the insertion of a catheter. Two probes are requested due to the delayed turnaround time after use because the probe requires a high-level disinfection and could lead to a delay in care if only one probe is available. The current Vascular Ultrasound system in the Intensive Care Unit is at its end-of-life cycle and is no longer manufactured.
