North Service Area Pipeline Phase B and Terminal Tank Preliminary Design Report

The Sacramento County Water Agency (“Agency”), is soliciting proposals from engineering firms (Consultants) to provide professional services to develop the Phase B North Service Area (NSA) Pipeline and Terminal Tank Preliminary Design Report (PDR).

This section describes the SCWA water system and the need for the NSA pipeline.

SCWA was formed in 1952 by a special legislative act of the State of California. The purposes of SCWA are carried out through benefit zones. Zone 40 was created in 1985 to acquire funding and construct facilities for the production and distribution of groundwater and surface water for the beneficial use of the inhabitants within the zone. Zone 40 does not own, operate, nor maintain assets; it merely facilitates the construction of water supply facilities and acquires surface water contracts.

Zone 40 is located in the central geographical area of Sacramento County.
