General Notice
The Erie County Department of Environment and Planning (DEP), Division of Sewerage Management
(DSM) on behalf of Erie County Sewer District No. 2 (ECSD 2) is requesting Bids for the installation of
one (1) Backup Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at North Evans sanitary Pumping Station (PS) and
one (1) backup BESS at Herr Road sanitary PS under Contract No. 107.
Bids will be received by the Commissioner of the Erie County DEP located at 95 Franklin St, Room 1034,
Buffalo, NY 14202, until Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the bids received
will be publicly opened and read aloud in Room 1004.
The Project includes the installation of a one (1) 3 phase, 208V, 150kWh backup internal BESS at North
Evans PS in the Town of Evans, NY, and one (1) 3 phase, 208V, 150kWh backup external BESS at Herr
Road PS in the Town of Evans, NY, inclusive of controls, communications, transfer switches, portable
generator hookup ports, and all related electrical connections and components.

downloaded from the designated website. Prospective bidders must register as a plan holder.
Attendance is encouraged at a pre-bid conference at the project site on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at
10:30 AM at the North Evans PS first and then proceeding to the Herr Road PS.
North Evans PS is located just past 6930 Versailles Road, Derby, NY 14085. Herr Road PS is located next
to 326 Herr Road, Angola, NY 14006.
