|
The Town of Amherst invites written quotations for the procurement of fence supply and installation services at the North Cemetery in North Amherst. The Town seeks to replace the existing wooden fence with 450 feet of coated black metal chain strung between the existing granite posts. The existing wooden fence is located on the east side of the North Cemetery which runs parallel to East Pleasant Street.
The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools and related services required to complete the work.

Qualifications:
|
|
Firm must have at least five (5) years of experience and a proven track record of high quality, professional fence installation work.
Firm must provide examples of fence installation projects involving granite posts or similar done in the last five (5) years.
Firm must have three (3) references who can document his or her successful completion of projects in the State of Massachusetts.

|
Special Requirements:
|
|
The Contractor shall not disturb any gravestone or burial marker during the work.
The Contractor shall be responsible for disposing of all waste materials, by hauling materials away or the use of a delivered waste material container.
|

|
|
An optional Pre Bid conference will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at the North Cemetery - 902 East Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA. All bidders are invited to attend.
