The purpose of this acquisition is to procure repository services for the Department of Transfusion Medicine. These services include the storage and maintenance of Government-owned freezers which currently includes 10 freezers (2 chest freezers and 8 upright freezers) in a highly maintained environment, into which the Dept. will store, monitor, inventory and retrieve samples.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a fixed price purchase order to Precision for Medicine, located at 8425 Precision Way, Frederick, MD 21701, on a firm fixed price sole source award basis for biorepository processing and storage services. Precision for Medicine is a College of American Pathologists (CAP)-certified biorepository providing specimen processing, storage, management, logistics, and distribution of critical research specimens. They provide biospecimen storage and bioprocessing helping in both cost and quality. They provide flexible and scalable services meeting storage needs and provide secure, temperature-controlled, and monitored off-site storage of the collected biologics.
