The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), located at the Boulder Laboratories campus in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking sources capable of providing construction services for the B1 Wing 6 Seal Above Hallway Doors Project in Building 1. The project consists primarily of extending an existing Wing 6 demising wall vertically to the structural concrete deck above in order to thermally and mechanically isolate Wing 6 from the Spine corridor space. Work also includes sealing wall penetrations and abandoned penetrations with fire-rated materials where the wall separates the Women’s restroom from the Spine corridor. An optional scope may include reconstructing storage room #4089, installing hollow metal doors and frames with security hardware, sealing penetrations within the reconstructed wall system, providing fire sprinkler protection, installing interior lighting, and providing NIST-standard signage. Work will be performed at the NIST Boulder Laboratories campus at 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO. The contractor will be responsible for all materials, labor, debris removal, safety compliance, coordination with the Government Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and adherence to applicable OSHA and NIST campus safety requirements.
