The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking capable contractors to provide roofing, exterior structural repair, and related construction services at the NIST Boulder Campus in Boulder, Colorado. The project primarily consists of removal and replacement of the foam roof system on Building 8 with a new metal roof deck, installation of new gutters and fascia, replacement of damaged insulation, and installation of snow guards. Additional optional work may include demolition and reconstruction of the northwest entrance overhang at Building 5 with new gutters and painting; reinstallation of an ornamental vent stack cap at Building 3; and removal and replacement of the main entrance door system, frame, and associated concrete slab and structural supports at Building 11. Work will require demolition, structural installation, roofing, sheet metal work, exterior door installation, and site restoration while maintaining building protection and safety compliance. The anticipated period of performance is 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Work will be performed during normal business hours on the NIST Boulder Campus.
