Requirement
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price construction contract for Nickajack Lock, Bullnose Painting near Jasper, Tennessee. The estimated magnitude of this project is less than $250,000.
Scope of Work for this contract requires the contractor to clean, prep and paint various metal and concrete elements for the bull noses of the approach walls. The chevrons painted on the face of the upstream and downstream approach walls are visual indicators to mariners so that the lock can be entered or that the lock wall can be navigated around safely. Over time the paint system has faded and chipped to the point that action is required. The scope will include upstream and downstream guide and guard wall noses structures, and/or faces, as well as any mooring cells currently painted with chevrons or other such markings which aid mariners in the piloting of vessels in and around the lock. The Contractor will be required to provide all plant, labor, and materials to complete the project.
The anticipated NAICS code is 238320-Painting and Wall Covering with a size standard of $19.0 million.
