Summary

The City of New Haven Board of Education is seeking a qualified contractor to submit a time and materials proposal to perform all types of adjustments/repairs/replacements to doors (both interior & exterior) and related hardware throughout schools in the District.

Background

Functioning fire and egress doors are required by Federal and State Codes, and NHPS policy. Many fire and/or egress doors do not open, fail to latch, or are compromised to the point of not meeting code requirements due to either wear or vandalism. Properly operation fire and/or egress doors are mandatory and necessary for safety and security.
