The National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) requires the procurement of an industrial-grade ultrasonic cleaner to support the cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of foreign weapons and vehicle parts. The ultrasonic cleaner will enhance NGIC’s ability to safely and efficiently remove debris, corrosion, and contaminants from complex assemblies and small components without causing damage, ensuring all items are properly prepared for technical intelligence exploitation.
Minimum Performance Requirements
- Cleaning Capabilities: The ultrasonic cleaner must provide the ability to clean, rinse, and lubricate equipment effectively.
- Dimensions: The interior cleaning tank must have a minimum size of 53” L x 10” W x 10” D to accommodate longer-barreled firearms and large machine gun receivers.
-
Power and Frequency:
- Power: Operates on 120V to ensure compatibility with existing facility infrastructure.
- Frequency: Operates at 40 kHz for effective cleaning performance.
- Wattage: Must support 600W for smaller components and up to 2000W for larger assemblies.
-
Accessories:
- Includes at least two mesh baskets for holding items during cleaning.
- Warranty: A minimum of one year warranty is required to ensure reliability and support.
Additional Considerations
- The equipment must be commercially available and not unnecessarily restrictive to competition.
- Vendors must provide solutions that meet the stated requirements without proprietary restrictions that limit compatibility or maintenance.
- The equipment must be durable and capable of handling high-frequency cleaning operations for extended periods.
