Voluntary Vision Plan Services
Contract Number 26P032
The Metropolitan Council is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide a vision insurance
plan for the Metropolitan Council, providing coverage for vision exams, eyeglasses, contacts, and
discounts on additional services. The Council intends to award one (1) contract, and the services will
be provided over a five-year period.
The anticipated schedule for this procurement is as follows:
RFP Issue Date March 13, 2026
Pre-Proposal Meeting March 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST
Questions Due April 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST
Proposals Due April 27, 2026, at 5:00 PM CST
Award July 2026
For the purposes of this contract, there are no Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), or
Metropolitan Council Underutilized Business (MCUB) goals set for this project. However, the Council
strives to ensure equitable participation of minority, women and underutilized businesses in projects
and procurements, and strongly encourages the inclusion of small businesses in this contract. DBE
