Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice
Solicitation Number: 36C25725Q0789
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
The solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) under Solicitation Number 36C25725Q0789.
This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses currently in effect under Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2025-04.
This procurement is being issued under Open Market procedures as Unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing.
Requirement
The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) is seeking to establish a Cost-Per-Test (CPT) agreement to furnish a replacement system for rapid microbial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (ID/AST) in support of its microbiology laboratory operations.
The requested system must provide performance capabilities comparable to matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry and automated microbial identification platforms. The system shall support testing across a wide spectrum of pathogens, including bacteria, mycobacteria, and fungi, and must fully comply with the technical specifications and performance criteria outlined in the attached Statement of Work (SOW).
Refer to the attached solicitation package for the contract line-item numbers (LINs), quantities, and detailed technical requirements in the SOW.
