Notice is given that on Thursday March 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM the Metropolitan Council will
receive and publicly open separate sealed bids for South Portal Boiler House, Project Number
61424, Contract Number 26P005.
The work of this project includes the construction of a new building at the south portal of the
Lindberg airport tunnel to house a boiler. The boiler will provide hydronic heat down at the track
level to maintain winter operations and will only be installed in the east bore of the tunnel. The
project includes the building and associated utilities, the boiler and new hydronic system
including pipes, tubing and manifold.

A site visit has been scheduled for: Wednesday February 25, 2026, at 1:00PM, address: 7115
Humphrey Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55450. Vendors may take transit to the platform or park in
the airport pay lot. Meeting location will be on the LRT platform.
The Metropolitan Council is only accepting electronic bid packages. All bids MUST be submitted
